I’m Becky Russell, a multidisciplinary designer, artist, and illustrator with 17 years of experience in the graphic design industry.

I began my career as a UX/UI Designer at Comcast in Philadelphia before transitioning into freelance design and illustration. Today, I’m the sole artist and co-owner of Pip & J Papery, a creative studio I run with my business partner, Tori. For over eight years, we’ve been creating meaningful, illustrated products that bring joy to everyday moments. (@pipandjpapery)

My work spans a wide range of disciplines—graphic and marketing design, UX and digital media, product design, marketing, and custom commissioned art. I’m currently based at Rowan University, where I work in the College of the Arts as Media Lab Supervisor, supporting the Visual Arts Department with marketing, design, and promotional materials.

In addition to my design career, I’ve spent the past decade as a K–12 visual arts teacher, developing comprehensive art curricula in painting, drawing, ceramics, and typography. I’ve also led many student art exhibitions and contributed to school-wide branding initiatives.

When I’m not designing or teaching, you’ll find me enjoying time with my husband, our two kids, and our little dog, Beans.
